Dr Georgios Nikolakis acquired his degree in Medicine from the National and Kapodistrias University of Athens. He has worked in Athens, Greece as an internal medicine resident and relocated to Berlin, Germany, in 2011, where he completed his doctorate at the Charité University Medicine Berlin. He developed an ex-vivo human co-culture skin model with sebocytes, funded by the EU for the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt; the model has been used for testing pharmaceutical and cosmetic products.
Since 2011, he has actively participated in clinical studies on acne vulgaris, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous and systemic lupus erythematosus and leg ulcers. Dr Georgios Nikolakis is the author of over 50 medical publications and received the Almirall research price in 2011 for his research work.
Dr Aristeidis Vaiopoulos acquired the degree of Medicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has worked in Athens, Greece as an internal medicine resident and completed his doctorate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He has worked as a resident in Dermatology and Venereology in the Departments of Dermatology, Venereology and Immunology of the Dessau Medical Center, Brandenburg Theodor Fontane Medical School (MHB) in Dessau, Germany. Since 2016, he has been actively involved in the education of medical students in the course of dermatology as well as in clinical studies for acne vulgaris, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. In addition, he is the author of over 30 medical publications.
